Resetting Your Password

If you've previously logged in to Member Portal and have forgotten your password, reset your password by going to https://app.fsid.org/password_recovery. Please note: There is a 15-minute security time limit for each time a member requests a new password reset. If you do not receive the reset email, check your email spam and junk folders for info@fsid.org.

Changing Your Login Email
  • If you need to update your Member Portal login email, please go to https://app.fsid.org/ and log in to FSID.
    • On the left-hand side, select Profile.
    • Under the email address field, click the Change Email hyperlink. Enter the new email address you wish to use for your FSID login and click Update Email. Once completed, log out and log back in to the Member Portal using the new email address. Your password will remain unchanged.
  • If you no longer have access to your account email address or are unsure which email is associated with your account, click Claim Your Account on the Member Portal login page.
Claiming Your Account
  • If you have log-in credentials or received a Member Portal invite, do not claim your account. Instead, click continue with FSID and create an FSID account.
  • If you would like to request access to your Member Portal account, click Claim Your Account and complete the requested information.
    • Account verification can take up to three business days to complete.
    • Please use your name as it would have appeared at time of initiation.
    • We recommend using your personal email that is not associated with your school or work.

Updating Your Browser

Out-of-date browsers can cause issues for Member Portal users, please validate that your browser is updated. If you’re experiencing problems, we recommend checking if your browser is up to date by visiting What's My Browser.

Google Chrome:
  • Open Chrome.
  • Click the three vertical dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  • Select Help in the dropdown menu.
  • Click About Google Chrome.
  • Chrome will automatically check for updates.
    • If an update is available, it will begin processing immediately.
    • If you’re already up to date, you’ll see a message confirming.
  • Relaunch Chrome.

Mozilla Firefox:
  • Open Firefox.
  • Click the three horizontal lines (≡) in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  • Select Help in the dropdown menu.
  • Click About Firefox.
  • Firefox will automatically check for updates.
    • If an update is available, it will begin processing immediately.
    • If you’re already up to date, you’ll see a message confirming.
  • Restart to update Firefox.

Clearing Your Cache

When browsing websites, Internet browsers store, or “cache,” website data (like images and scripts) to improve your experience. Clearing your web browser’s cache removes these stored assets, which may help resolve issues.

Clear Google Chrome Cache
  • Open Chrome.
  • Click the three vertical dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  • Select More tools in the dropdown menu.
  • Select Clear browsing data.
  • Choose the All time range.
  • Check the box for Cached images and files.
  • Click Clear Data.

Clear Mozilla Firefox Cache
  • Open Firefox.
  • Click the three horizontal lines (≡) in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
  • Select Settings in the dropdown menu.
  • In the left-hand panel, click Privacy & Security.
  • Under the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data…
  • In the dialog box, check Cached Web Content.
  • Click Clear Data to delete the cached files.

Restarting Your Computer

Computers should be restarted frequently to optimize performance and system health. “Turn it off and on again” is often tech support’s favorite piece of advice! To restart a Mac/MacBook, select the Apple menu and click Restart. To restart a PC using Windows, open the start menu and click Power. From there, select the Restart option from the submenu.
